Region VI Regional Trauma Advisory Committee (RTAC) Coordinator Position

Region VI RTAC has an opening for the Region VI RTAC Coordinator position and is actively seeking an individual to fulfill this role.  Interested candidates should be actively engaged in the Region VI RTAC activities and committed to advancing the RTAC’s role in establishing and implementing best practices for trauma care in Region VI.  They should be willing to work with the State Trauma System Planner and other RTACs in the state to coordinate and implement the State Trauma System Plan.  They will be expected to work closely with the Region VI EMS Council, the Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission (GTCNC) and the State Office of EMS-T to be successful.  Additionally, the successful candidate will at a minimum work closely with all EMS agencies and Trauma Centers in Region VI.  They should have working knowledge of the Stop the Bleed campaign.  The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational, administrative and communication skills and be willing to coordinate and lead RTAC activities working closely with the RTAC Chair and Executive team.  Some travel is expected to include at a minimum: quarterly EMS Council and RTAC meetings, Bi-annual State COT and TQIP meetings and Quarterly GTCNC meetings, including an annual GTCNC planning retreat.  Reimbursement for approved travel is available.  Additional funding for the role is dynamic and subject to change based on year to year continuation funding from the GTCNC.  There is currently competitive funding available as a contract employee for the RTAC administered through the GTCNC. Interested candidates should send a letter of interest/intent as well as a current C.V. or Resume to:

This deadline for consideration of interested candidates will be July 31, 2018.  Additional information including a detailed job description as well as contract information is available upon request to interested applicants.  Applicant review and selection for interviews will be held following the July 31 application deadline by the RTAC executive team.  In-person interviews will be conducted by this team to select the final candidate for the position.  The search will continue until the position is satisfactorily filled.
