FY 2012 EMS Uncompensated Care Reimbursement Program distribution
Summary:
For the FY 2012 Program, there were 40 EMS Agencies that participated and submitted a total of $998,329.37 in claims.
The FY 2012 budget for this program was $748,028.
All grants were pro-rated based on each Agency’s claim amount presented as a percentage of the total claims amount. That distribution plan is attached. -
REMINDER: FY 2012 EMS Uncompensated Care Reimbursement Grant Program CLOSES 15 MAY 2012
Summary:
The Trauma Commission has contributed approximately $748,028 to this program.
Reimbursement will be pro rata, based on available funding and provided as a direct grant award from the Georgia Trauma Commission to Georgia licensed ambulance agencies for qualifying trauma care-related uncompensated care claims delivered during the period of 01 January 2010 through 31 December 2010.
All claims submitted for reimbursement under this program must meet eligibility requirements and be in the required documentation format and submitted to Judy Geiger, Business Operations Officer, no later than close of business 15 May 2012.
There will be NO Grant Program time extensions made. Please plan accordingly.

This POSTING provides the application packet, requirements and timeline for Trauma Commission-funded FY 2012 EMS Uncompensated Care Reimbursement Program.
The Trauma Commission has contributed approximately $748,028 to this program.
Reimbursement will be pro rata, based on available funding and provided as a direct grant award from the Georgia Trauma Commission to Georgia licensed ambulance agencies for qualifying trauma care-related uncompensated care claims delivered during the period of 01 January 2010 through 31 December 2010.

The Georgia Trauma Commission’s goal is to provide seventeen (17) grant awards of $70,752 each. The actual number and amount of awards will be decided by the Trauma Commission and based on available budget at time of awards. The Trauma Commission will determine individual grant awardees during the 15 March 2012 meeting. Grant Awardees will be notified via letter by 31 March 2012.
Grant application open: 18 November 2011 until 11:59 pm 30 December 2011.
All completed applications hard copies must be received in Trauma Commission office in Rising Fawn, Georgia by 11:59 pm 30 December 2011.
