Georgia Committee for Trauma Excellence
In April 2009, the Georgia Trauma Commission unanimously passed a motion that recognized the Georgia Committee on Trauma Excellence as a standing subcommittee of the Georgia Trauma Commission. The recognition of the GCTE as a subcommittee was “for the provision of ensuring collaboration with and coordination of mutual work toward developing an inclusive statewide trauma system in Georgia.
The Georgia Committee on Trauma Excellence has been an independent self-sustaining committee of Georgia trauma system stakeholders for over 15 years. The mission of the GCTE is “to promote excellence in the care of trauma patients in Georgia.
GCTE membership includes: trauma coordinators and registrars for all designated trauma centers; non-trauma center hospital staff interested in trauma care improvement and system development; and, Office of EMS and Trauma and Georgia Trauma Commission staff.
